Pressure-treated 4x6x12 post — nominal 4 in. x 6 in. by 12 ft length — sold individually. Typical retail pieces are #2-grade dimensional timbers (nominal 4x6, actual approx. 3.5in x 5.5in) treated for ground contact to resist fungal decay, rot and insects; common species offered by national and regional suppliers include Southern Yellow Pine or Hem‑Fir/Ponderosa Pine. Use: fence and gate posts, deck and pergola support posts, landscape timbers and other outdoor/structural applications. Verify grade, species and ground‑contact treatment level (AWPA / UC designation) with the supplier before purchase.
