Product Description

Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) — 1-3/4" x 12" x 12' (sold each) — is an engineered wood beam made from multiple thin wood veneers glued and laminated under controlled conditions to produce a straighter, stronger, dimensionally stable member for structural use (headers, beams, columns, rim beams). LVL resists warping, twisting and shrinking and is specified by actual thickness, width and length; 1-3/4" thickness is standard for many LVL lines while common supplied widths are often listed as 11-7/8" or 11-1/4" depending on brand. Before installation, confirm the vendor’s actual stamped width/grade (and any watershedding/edge-seal) because product branding and available nominal widths (11-1/4", 11-7/8", 12") vary by manufacturer and distributor.
