Product Description

Nominal 2x12x12 (SPF — spruce/pine/fir) dimensional lumber, commonly sold surfaced on four sides (S4S) and offered in #2 & better or premium grades; nominal dimensions 2" x 12" x 12' (typical actual size ~1-1/2" x 11-1/4" x 12'). SPF 2x12x12 is routinely offered kiln-dried for framing and heavy structural framing/beam uses and is sold per piece (each). Current public retailer listings show a broad retail range (examples: Home Depot listings roughly $17.77–$23.67 each for southern yellow pine/SYP 2x12x12 variants and Menards listing at $34.99 each for a #2 & better 2x12x12); based on these local-Midwest retail prices a competitive resale price in Dayton, IA (ZIP 50530) would be about $24.00 each (rounding the market median), with a reasonable local resale range of about $18–$35 depending on grade, species (SPF vs SYP vs treated), and whether the piece is S4S/kiln-dried.
