Product Description

SPF 2x8x8 (Spruce‑Pine‑Fir) is a nominal 2 in. x 8 in. x 8 ft. dimensional framing board commonly sold surfaced on four sides (S4S) and kiln‑dried; typical actual dimensions are about 1‑1/2 in. x 7‑1/4 in. This No.2 (or No.2 & Better) SPF board is used for wall and roof framing, rafters, headers and general structural framing where an economical, paintable/stainable softwood is required. (Nominal vs actual sizing, species grouping, grade and S4S/kiln‑dried details are documented on the listed retailer/manufacturer pages below.)
