Product Description

Nominal 4 in. x 4 in. x 4 ft. pressure‑treated lumber post (sold individually). This product is the standard pressure‑treated wood post intended for outdoor structural and landscape uses — commonly manufactured from Southern Yellow Pine or treated pine and labeled nominally 4 x 4 x 4 ft (typical actual finished dimensions after surfacing: about 3.5 in. x 3.5 in. x 48 in.). Treated posts are offered in above‑ground and ground‑contact treatment levels depending on the intended use; they are suitable for deck posts, short fence posts, railing posts, and many landscape applications. New pressure‑treated posts may be wet/damp from the treatment process and will dry and shrink slightly; inspect for splits or warping and select straight, sound pieces for load‑bearing uses.
