SharkBite Max UR4008A 1/2" x 1/2" Polybutylene (Poly) Conversion Coupling — lead‑free DZR brass push‑to‑connect coupling designed to transition a 1/2" polybutylene service to PEX, copper, CPVC, PE‑RT or HDPE (SDR‑9). The fitting has color‑coded collars (gray for polybutylene, tan for PEX/copper/CPVC) and ships bagged with the required polybutylene tube stiffener; insertion depth for 1/2" is 1.00". Per the manufacturer specification (SharkBite Max spec sheet, Rev 2.0) the UR4008/UR4008A is rated to 200°F (93°C) and up to 400 psi, uses lead‑free DZR brass body with EPDM O‑rings and stainless steel retainers, and is certified to common potable‑water standards (NSF/ANSI listings).
