Product Description

C&S Single Suet Basket (model CS701, UPC 018222007011) is a simple, durable vinyl/plastic‑coated wire suet basket built to hold one standard suet cake (C&S lists unit size ~1.5" x 4.5" x 5"). The rectangular hanging basket includes a chain hanger and an easy-fill closure so it can be used year‑round to attract insect‑eating backyard birds; construction is weather‑resistant and designed to be gentle on bird feet. Sources identify this item as a basic, low‑cost replacement feeder sold through independent hardware and wild‑bird retailers (wholesale distributor pricing for CS701 is shown in the C&S/ADM price list). Based on current retail listings for the exact CS701 (most retailers at $4.39–$4.99) and comparable C&S single‑cake suet baskets at larger retailers ($7–$8 range for similar EZ‑Fill variants), a competitive local resale price for Dayton, IA (50530) would be about $5.99 each (gives a modest retail margin while remaining competitive with local hardware/wild‑bird shops).
