Product Description

Cherry Stone grit is a crushed-quartzite poultry/traction grit commonly sold for poultry digestion, traction on icy surfaces, plant drainage/aeration and hobby uses. The material is 100% crushed quartzite (sharp, insoluble) and the Cherry Stone brand is normally packaged in larger consumer/professional sacks (commonly 25 lb and 50 lb bags); manufacturer and retail pages list it as available in Type/grade #1–#4 (grain sizes from about 1/16" to 3/8") and show uses including poultry grit, traction, paver joint fill and flower-pot drainage. (You specified a single 1 lb bag; that small package is not shown on manufacturer pages—most public listings and the manufacturer catalog document 25/50/2,000 lb pack sizes.)
