Simpson Strong‑Tie ABA66Z Adjustable Post Base — 6x6 (nominal) post size — 14‑gauge steel with ZMAX® galvanized coating. The ABA66Z is an adjustable, standoff post base that lifts the post 1 in. above the concrete to reduce rot, features a slotted anchor hole for easier bolt alignment, and attaches to the post with nails or Strong‑Drive® SD connector screws. Typical installer fasteners per the manufacturer: (8) 0.162" x 3-1/2" nails (or equivalent connector screws) and one 5/8" concrete anchor.
