1/2" split (spring) lock washer — a helical, split-ring washer sized for 1/2" (ID ≈ 0.512") fasteners that flattens under load to add spring tension and help resist nut/bolt loosening. Widely offered in zinc‑plated steel for general use and in 18‑8 / 316 stainless grades for corrosion resistance (marine applications); typical catalog dimensions list an outside diameter ≈ 0.869" and nominal thickness ≈ 0.125". Suitable for use with 1/2" bolts and nuts where vibration or slight material wear may cause loosening.
