Product Description

Natural rectangular straw bale, sold individually, commonly used for erosion control, garden beds, animal bedding and seasonal décor. Typical commercially packaged small/‘full‑size’ bales measure roughly 36 in. long by ~18 in. wide and 14–20 in. high and commonly weigh in the ~30–50 lb range depending on twine/tie count and compression; compressed “grab & go” bales (often 50 lb) are also sold by national farm/supply brands. Retail listings vary by finish (wrapped/unwrapped), weight and intended use (decorative vs. certified weed‑free bedding); comparable catalog pages from major retailers show single‑unit retail prices from the low single digits up to the mid‑$30s, with a median among the sampled offers at about $16.99 — therefore a competitive local resale price for a standard rectangular straw bale in the Dayton, IA (50530) area would be about $17.00 each (rounded to nearest dollar), adjusted down/up for weight, weed‑free certification, or included handling/delivery.
