ABA44Z adjustable standoff post base — 4x4 nominal — ZMAX galvanized finish. Designed to secure a 4x4 post to existing concrete or footings, the ABA44Z provides a 1 in. standoff to help prevent end-grain moisture contact and rot; it is formed from galvanized steel (16 ga for the 4x4 model), uses a slotted anchor hole for minor anchor placement adjustment, and fastens to the post with nails or Strong-Drive® SD connector screws. Published allowable loads and dimensional data in the manufacturer catalog/spec sheets (model ABA44Z) make this a common, code-listed retrofit post base for decks, porches and similar outdoor posts.
