24" x 24" x 1" disposable furnace/HVAC air filter (nominal size 24 x 24 x 1 in). Available as basic fiberglass throwaway panels or higher-efficiency pleated filters (commonly sold in MERV 8–13 grades and branded options such as Filtrete, Filterbuy and OEM replacement lines). Intended for residential HVAC return/air-handler filter slots; many pleated 1" filters list an actual (engineered) size slightly under nominal (examples show actual sizes near 23.38" x 23.38" x 0.75") and are typically replaced every 1–3 months depending on use. Sold singly or in multi-packs by major retailers and filtration specialists; fiberglass panels are the lower-cost option while pleated MERV 8–13 filters provide better particle capture for indoor-air quality.
